Starlight Mini, resulting video is sped up

When I local render with Starlight Mini the exported video is sped up. It looks like someone pushed fast forward on the video. Is this a normal thing or a bug I am experiencing?

Running on an Intel I7. RTX 4070.

What does MediaInfo say when you compare source and output files?

Can you share the input and output files to our DB?

You can securely submit your file(s) to our Dropbox using the link below. Please be sure to send me a note to let me know you sent something and include the file name.

I’m having the same problem, intel i9, rtx 4090.
my input video is 59.97fps that came from an interlaced source. the output playback is way too fast. starlight does not let me adjust framerate or anything like that.

I’ve added 2 files to the dropbox link: one ends with -deinterlaced.mkv and one ends with _starlight_mini.mkv - the deinterlaced is the input, the _startlight_mini is the output file. the output file is 7 minutes 19 seconds and the input is 14 minutes 39 seconds.

I’ve found a different way to run the files through the filters. basically I removed duplicate frames before sending to starlight and starlight isn’t speeding up my video anymore. But it will still do so on the original files.

I’m not clear on why when I have twice as many frames I get fast video, and why removing half of my frames makes the video play normal speed, but I don’t want duplicate frames anyway. This was some artifact of deinterlacing, so fixing that was a good idea anyway. I’m still figuring out what order in which I want to fix my input files to make something starlight can use (for instance, I’ll need a stage to fix all the frame fluttering and such from bad tracking on vhs)
