[RESOLVED by running the installer with antivirus and firewall off] - Photo AI missing models

I’ve been using Photo AI Studio for a week now. Why does it download models every time I edit a file? It takes several minutes each time and is very annoying!

This is happening because, your connection was interrupted during download and installation here’s some tips from Topaz Support about resolving the issue.

Generally, if you encounter this situation, your connection is being blocked from our server. This may be due to cache, cookies, VPN, Proxy, Firewall, Anti-Virus Software, Add Blocker or Cloud Settings.

Turning off whatever security feature is blocking our server should allow you to proceed. If you’re unaware of any blocker you’re using, here are some basic fixes.

Please try all the options, and let us know if one works for you.

  1. Clear cache and cookies.
  2. Try a different browser: Chrome, Safari, and Firefox are three that work best. Use one of these for your default browser.
  3. Check for blockers. Temporarily disable any VPN, firewall, proxy, or antivirus software and try again. If it works, add our sites and apps to safe lists.
  4. Try another device. Use a different computer, tablet, or phone on the same network to see if it’s device-specific.
  5. Disable browser extensions. Turn off any privacy or security extensions and retry.
  6. Adjust browser security settings. Make sure cookies, pop-ups, and redirects are enabled. In Chrome: go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Third-Party Cookies and enable Allow third-party cookies.

I am experiencing the same problem. Your fix essentially requires us to turn off safety settings and says taht the problem is the users, not yours. I object!

Apologies- i am experiencing the problem of downloading models with the new Topaz Photo App. It still makes that app very slow to use.

Hi John.

It’s essentially the same issue with your Antivirus Blocking the connection and please don’t take this the wrong way but, believe me the sooner you accept that the sooner you’re be up and running again.

I personally don’t work for Topaz I only supplied you with the part ot their Troubleshooting Guide with information that relates to the issue you’ve having.

I understand, what you’re saying you don’t want to run the risk of disabling some or all of your Antivirus Software and making yourself open to cyber attack l get it.

So basically, goto the Topaz Website from here find the download page you require and Download the Application and run the Installation again, now John, as you’re already on a secure site there’s less rick of cyber attacks besides you can always run your Antivirus Software once the process has completed.
