after editing the image I open remove tool but once it is open I cannot select anything. The brush will not activate. Nothing in the image can be selected.

Thanks but I figured it out.
Check the brush size. If it’s set at 1, all you will see are the crossihairs. Increase the size and its OK and next time you open TPAI it will default to the size last used.
(I had this issue when I downloaded this or the previous version of TPAI and it took me a while to work out what was going on)
