Hello, I have an older McBook Pro and the new update will not work with Intel. Can I download th folder version of Topaz and continue using until I get a new MacBook?

I’m not a Mac user myself but I believe the last version that supported Intel Mac was v3.6.2 here’s the link to download that version and also, a second link for all Previous Releases so, you can try a newer version

@capt_steve.sobrado - Topaz Studio apps are not comptible with the Intel Macs. We are looking into the possibility of supporting Intel Macs, with limitations in the future, but it is not compatible at the moment. Even when compatible, since Intel Macs are not optimized for AI Processing, it will remain slow in app behavior, and will have limitations using all generative models locally as the Intel Mac cannot handle these AI models.
Here is the Topaz Photo’s System Requirements mentionning the incompatibilities:
If your case, you own Photo AI, the legacy app, you can use it on your Intel Mac, however, see the warnings about slow processing and incompatibilities with generative models:

Circling back to let you know Intel Macs are now compatible with Topaz Photo (v1.0.2). Because of the milited capabilites of Intel Macs, there is limitations and local processing will be slower, but for generative models you can use the cloud!

How can I install this on my Intel Mac?
Topaz Photo is not compatible with Intel Macs. We are looking into the possibility to support them, but because they are not optimized for AI Processing, it would still have limitations and be slow processing even when eventually supported.

Do you have any idea about a possible timeline when a version that MIGHT work with Intel Macs could be released? Or should I just cancel my subscription? Current Mac works great with PAI and can’t justify a completely new computer.
We have released last week support for Intel Macs in the new Gigapixel v1.0.3 release and will do so for Topaz Photo this week!

Fantastic…..I got an email from support saying that it wouldn’t be available any time soon…..can’t wait to try it.
