Running Photo AI 2.0.5 on fully patched Windows 11, 32 Gb RAM, NVIDIA 3050 GPU
Recently my workflow has done a lot of this:
drop 2, 3, 4, 5 images on Photo AI
enhance all of them and save them all
File > close all images
Then repeat with another small group of pics. I probably did this 20-25 times in a row without closing the Photo AI executable. At one point it froze, kind of, no response on the UI buttons but I could X the app.
Not repeated / repeatable. It felt like a memory issue to me, like the app got “full” and decided to stop paying attention. No problems seen in any other apps running at the same time.
The place where it freezes (has now happened 3 times) is when I have multiple images, thumbnails across the bottom, and I have finished with one image and I select the next one along the film strip. It does not update the images in the main window or at the top of the right-side panel. The pop-up to show progress through the Autopilot processing pops up over the righthand side of the main window but never does the first step (loading image). No icons/actions in the main window respond when clicked. All I can do is X the app and restart.
Thanks for reaching out. Next time this happens please open Topaz Photo AI, go to the menu bar on the top and click the Help > Open Log Folder menu option. Attach the logs to your reply so I can check the contents.
Thanks for the suggestion but, as I mentioned, none of the clickable things in the window were responding to clicks except the X in the top right corner, all I can do is kill the app, can’t click anything to send you the logs! So - are you suggesting that I kill (X) the app, then open it again and then send you the logs?
It might have some interaction with the new Remove Beta option because today was also the first time I used that and the problem happened after using that, though not IMMEDIATELY after.
