Photoshop plugin now crashes and exports at 1 dpi

I’ve been using the photoshop plugin for about a year with no issues. But after this 7.1.1 update the plugins crashes after I export to photoshop. Also after exporting to photoshop I can’t do anything, the image information shows 1 dpi. And I need to restart photoshop in order to keep working. This makes the plugin unusable, previous release worked just fine.

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Step 1
  • Invoke the plugin in photoshop.
  1. Step 2
  • Select any model and resize, then click on “export to adobe photoshop”
  1. Step 3
  • Now photoshop freezes the image, I can’t preview anything. I can only see my original image in low res, and the canvas is not resized to the upscaled size I select, also the dpi information now shows: 1 dpi.
  • I need to restart photoshop in order to keep using it. As this issue affects any other document open in the same way.

Please follow the steps below to reset your Photoshop plugin.

  1. Close Photoshop fully.
  2. Run the Topaz Photo AI installer again. Get a new one from the downloads page: Topaz Labs Downloads
  3. Open Photoshop Elements and check the File > Automate > Topaz Photo AI plugin again.
