Photo AI install OK but fail to start

Topaz Photo AI v3.1.0 to v3.3.0 on Windows

HI there,

I upgraded this morning my license for Photo AI from V2.4.2 to latest v3.3.0.

1 - The install on my desktop running Windows 24H2 went ok. Everything is running either alone or after export from Lightroom Classic.
2 - On the other hand, on my laptop (also on Windows 24H2) installation ran ok, but when I start Topaz AI, it looks to start, then a windows appears a very short time, then disappear. That was all with version 3.3.0.
3 - After removal of v3.3.0 I installed again the old version v2.4.2. Everything is OK.
4 - I then updated step by step, adding v3.0.0, then 3.0.1, 3.02, 3.02, 3.03 and 3.04. At each step I checked and can report that everything was running OK.
5 - But when I updated to v3.1.0 that was no longer ok, with a windows flashing then disappearing. It looks to be the same behaviour as described by @steven.foon on July 12 in topic "Topaz Photo AI v3.1.0.
6 - I observed same behaviour with either intermediate version between 3.1.0 and 3.3.0

I read several topics, but did not find any clue to solve my problem to run same verson on both of my PCs.

Any help ?
Thanks in advance.

Please share any results if you have been able to get the updates to work.

Hi Steven,

After contact with the help support help@topazlabs.com I sent them files obtained as requested below:

Quote ====

  • Logs: To gather logs, open Photo AI and go to the menu bar on the top and go to Help > Open Log Folder.

Grab all the files in that folder and Zip them into 1 folder, and attach this zipped folder to this email.

this will create 1 file that you can attach to this email

In my case it was a problem coming from Intel graphic chips drivers which needed to be reinstalled correctly. I needed to follow these steps below:

You will have to go to Device Manager, then Display Adapters, then double click on your graphics card, then in the Driver tab, uninstall the card. Then reboot the computer. Then go back in the Display adapters and then Driver tab, and update driver. Then reboot again.

I hope this can help you.
