Photo AI 1.3.9 Win 10 64bit, new issue not encountered in previous versions
If the program is already open, dragging and dropping files onto the work area results in an “unable to run model” error. The same photos dragged and dropped onto the desktop icon, with the program not running, will process just fine.
Hi there! Please be sure to include your computer’s system profile and your logs from Topaz Photo AI so we can troubleshoot. You can gather your log files from the app by first recreating this behavior within the app, and then going to Help > Open Log Folder. Upload all of these log files to this thread and we can review them.

The error occurred on the first two images. It now seems to occur only intermittently.
