Old problems still remain in 6.1.0: Split view and audio sync on export

Just installed 6.1.0 (trial) on M1 Max/macOS 15.3.1 and still found 2 old very annoying bugs:

  1. The split view. It’s correct before I start rendering, but after a 2" render preview, the right side of the split view it’s “panning” when I move the split line.

  2. Audio is out of sync if I export a part of the video clip using in/out points. It’s correct exporting entire clip

Is this a copy or convert audio situation, or both?

Sorry, I forgot to mention… it happens copying audio tracks.
Converting doesn’t create this out of sync, but I’d like to keep untouched the original audio.

Unfortunately I don’t think it’s possible to guarantee sync with a clipped video export, while just copying the audio, with most compressed audio formats (the ones I’ve tried anyway).

A block-based codec, such as AAC, is likely to be problematic. Converting is normally the solution.

This happens in other video encoding software that allows audio stream copying, not just TVAI.

Using the convert option is best here since you are cutting the original video down using In/Out points.

The split screen issue is being looked into to try and get that smoother when working with videos and applying upscaling and the AI models in Video AI.

Ok for loss of audio sync, in my project (upscale old TV series) I could re-encode small parts to check video upscale, then process the entire episode using audio copy.
About split view issue, hope will be solved soon, cause it’s actually useless.
May I ask you a question about split view?
The first time I tested TVAI, I used split view together with the real-time preview, and it was amazing too test different combinations, with original and enhanced clips at the same time.
Will real-time render return sooner or later?

I did another test about audio sync loss using audio copy, and found that if I export on desktop a portion of the my source using in/out points, TVAI starts creating a temporary mp4/mkv video file. In this file audio and video are perfectly synched, but when export is completed is again out of sync. Hope this could help.

6.1.3 split view problem is still there.
