Not finishing "Analyzing Image" | 3rd Party Plugins | Affinity, Corel Paintshop Pro, Photoshop Elements | v3.1.1

Calling from Affinity Photo (2.5.3) never finishes the “Analyzing Image”. Killed it after 2 minutes. This has not been experienced since I began using Photo AI in 2022. For me release 3.1.1 is a very big step backwards. This simply should not be happening after working so nicely for near two years.

Same photo loaded in standalone mode processed as expected.Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Pass a .tiff file to Photo AI 3.1.1. from Affinity Photo 2.5.3
    2.Photo AI begins “Analyzing Image”
  2. Step 3 - is never reached because it keeps “Analyzing Image” until you kill it.

Hi. Please read Release Notes before download

Known issue

When used as a 3rd party plugin (to Affinity, Corel Paintshop Pro, etc) the application is stuck on image analysis

Please revert back to v3.1.0 for now

When launching from within Affinity Photo 2.5 “Analyzing Image” is on a permanent loop. If the .tiff file is loaded from within finder via right click “Analyzing Image” is pretty much instant.

AND-E, those release notes were made AFTER the reports of the problem not at the time of release and was based on the reports you see here and else where. After I discovered the bug I had rolled back and submitted my logs. This bug could only have occurred because there was never a test run by anyone running Photo AI 3.1.1 as a plugin to Affinity and Corel Printshop Pro. Had the release notes contained that statement initially I would not have down loaded it.

Same issue with Adobe Photoshop Elements. For a product of this price I would have expected common uses of the programme to have all been tested prior to releasing an update.

After Topaz 3.1.1 installation photos transferred from Affinity photo 2 on plug in are stuck on Analazying, I have removed Topaz and reinstalled a fresh copy still the same. The photograph used was put straight to Topaz bypassing Affinity 2 and worked fine. Definitely a plugin issue between the two .Just installed over an hour ago, need a fix

Strongly agree. This was not tested with Affinity Photo at all.

Photo AI opens and begins analyzing the image and doesn’t complete. If I open Photo AI separately then load an image into it, it works properly.

I updated to the latest version this morning, 24 07 26. It no longer functions as a plug in in PSP2023. Version 3.1 worked fine. This one hangs after opening the image. It has been over six minutes now and it is still analysing. I need to revert to the previous version until you can either fix this issue or if not then I will have to remain with the previous version.

Thanks for your assistance with this issue.
Andrew

Thank you v3.1.2 works fine standalone and when called from Affinity Photo on Mac.
