- If I load any kind of .AVI files into Topaz Video AI the preview won’t render. The file itself is displayed correctly by the player interface, timeline skipping is fine too. But if I click upon the prview button it will state that it is processing (0% etc.), the green bar seems to appear very briefly only to then vanish instantly. The picture in the two tabs will stay the same, the enhancement tab is exactly like the original tab, no preview possible. I’ve tried this with different codecs contained within the .AVI container and different models. The same file works absolutely fine after simply being remuxed into an .MKV container. The .AVI file is also correctly processed through the export option.

Looks like a possible issue with the .AVI files and how the app is trying to read them. I am sharing this with the team for investigation.

Thanks for taking a look. I can confirm that the issue still persists with Version 1.6.2.
A simple remux of the file to the mkv container (no reencoding) and I get the preview.
I uploaded the file to dropbox, the file name is “smg_mtv_movie_promo_01.avi”.
Other AVI files (encoded by me) are also affected by the error.
