I’ve tested with several different sources and the results are always the same.
Exports using Starlight mini are missing audio regardless of what audio export settings are selected.
I’m using v7.0.1.

I’m getting sound. But I’m doing Mini on the cloud, not locally.

@kyle.topazlabs I’m not the OP, but I’m having the exact same problem. All my exports with Starlight Mini don’t have audio; the exports with the other models work fine.
I’m using Topaz Video AI 7.0.2 for Windows. Logs attached below:

I am having the same issue (no audio with Starlight Mini local exports; others are fine) along with “Save As” no longer working for Starlight Mini (others are okay) since the 7.1 update (changing name or destination folder does not work). Unfortunately I didn’t notice the missing audio until after 17 hours of processing. ![]()
I will say that before the 7.1 update, I was able to export Starlight Mini WITH audio. After the 7.1 update, it stopped. However, this could be coincidental as I tried to optimize the processing speed by changing some of the preview settings. I tried to switch those setting back, but it does not seem to have fixed it.
I’ve re-tried a file that succeeded, before, but it did not include audio. So it’s unlikely it’s a source file format issue.

I played around with the Preferences a bit more and now I have audio. What I did:
I’m in the process of trying a longer file. However, this might be a clue to what went wrong. Maybe some preferences settings got corrupted or something? If one of the others having this issue could reset their preferences to default and then set it back again it might be a good test.
After contacting support I managed to get Starlight Mini working with sound for me and the “solution” was to delete Video AI (including preferences and keys in the Windows Registry) and reinstalling.
So in really I don’t know what was causing the lack of audio for me (maybe the app silently failed to download some files the first time?), but if you’re still having problems I suggest to try the same thing I did and do a full reinstall.
