I just started having issues with no audio on my Topaz rendered videos. Tried the various recommendations/solutions others have shared, didn’t help. How can I go back to a previous version to see if the issue goes away?
Is audiostream in the output file present, and which audio codec is it? With free tool “MediaInfo”, you can look inside a video file.
There may a inconsitent with choosen output format, for example mp4 is not specified holding audio streams that are encoded in Dolby, DTS, Flac, WAV etc… mp4 default audio codec is AAC. Either change the output to for exmaple to MKV, or let audio re-encode
I’ll try that. I should have mentioned that I have been using Topaz on my home videos for the last few months, essentially daily, and this issue just occurred. There was a very small update available that I downloaded and apparently the problem started after that. Another thing I noticed that may be an indicator is the rendering and export are very quick now compared to the past using the same enhancement settings. I have Topaz on a new computer that I purchased just to run Topaz as my older computer doesn’t have the horsepower to run Topaz efficiently. I don’t have anything on it other than Topaz. Again, is there a way I can go back to a previous Topaz before that latest update to verify if that may be the problem.
Patrick, can you share your system profile for this computer? Since you mentioned this started after an update do you remember what update this was? That way I can have the team look at what changed in the app code.
Attached is my system profile as requested. I looks like I uploaded the update on Sept.10 as that is when I was using Topaz and the audio was not on the enhancements. I used Topaz on Sept. 8 and the audio worked then. I have done @ 40 enhancements before Sept. 10 with no problems.
Sorry, I missed where you asked about rolling back a version. You can always roll back to a previous version if you want and we keep all of the installers listed up here on the Video AI releases - community page.
