Low Disk during processing

Dear Topaz team,

  1. The bug / behavior
During video file conversion, if the system runs out of disk space, the program does not pause or alert the user. Instead, the conversion fails silently, and the partially encoded output file is deleted or lost. This results in data loss and wasted processing time.
2.Expected behavior:* The program should actively monitor available disk space during encoding. If space is too low, it should pause the process and notify the user. Ideally, it could estimate required disk space based on the size of the already encoded portion.
  2. system profile
  • **Topaz Video:**6.1.3
  • OS: Microsoft Windows 11 Home (Build 22631)
  • System: MSI GP66 Leopard 11UH
  • Processor: Intel Core i7 (11th Gen), 8 cores
  • RAM: 40 GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080
  • Storage: SSD (space availability depends, but issue occurs when near full)

Currently, the app is not set up to monitor a disk for available hard drive space when writing a file out. This has been requested, though, and it is on the list of feature requests.
