Lightroom from File>Plug-In>Topaz Photo AI comes in DARK

When using Lightroom, if I access Photo AI through File>Plug-in Extras > Topaz Photo AI, the image comes in very dark. This is not 100% of the time but almost always. (Not sure of the condition when it works because it almost always fails - Maybe a reboot and first time in LR and Topaz.) Then If I Edit In > Topaz Photo AI, I have no problems with a dark image being imported-It comes in with normal exposure.

Steps to reproduce issue:

1. Open Lightroom and select photo to sharpen
2. File>Plug-in Extras > Topaz Photo AI
3. Image is imported super dark and not usable.
4. Cancel out so that I don’t bring the image back into Lightroom
5. Use Edit In Topaz Photo AI instead.

Source files are from a Samsung S23 phone show in RAW. I think this is the only camera. At first I thought it was random but seems to be phone photos. My DSLR images seem to be working ok. If I Edit In > Topaz Photo AI, they will come in with normal exposure and process just fine. This only happens in Lightroom from File>Plug-In>Topaz Photo AI.

Thanks for sending the files. It looks like we don’t have support for these files yet. I added them to our task list so someone can look into a fix.

For now, I would recommend using the Photo > Edit in > Topaz Photo AI method which will make a TIF copy that does not have these exposure issues.
