Lightroom doesn't save edits from PhotoAI

[Please describe your issue here. Try to include logs (Help → Logging) and add screenshots if necessary.] After editing a black & white photo using the Photo AI plug-in, (2.0.4), in Lightroom and then saving back to Lightroom, the photo changes to a TIFF file, but doesn’t include the Photo AI updates. I get a message in Lightroom that says, “Lightroom has encountered problems reading this photo. You will not be able to make adjustments to the photo.” Then, when I click on the icon in the upper right corner of the thumbnail, it says, “The file appears to be unsupported or damaged.” I’m using Windows.

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Step 1
  2. Step 2
  3. Step 3

Topaz Photo AI [v1.x.x] on [Windows/Mac]

I’ve had same issue two times since latest upgrade. Open image from Lightroom Classic, do my adjustments, Save to Lightroom and I get the message “ the file appears to be unsupported or damaged” and does not show in the LR filmstrip.

Does this happen if the image is in color or only with B&W?

Hi Lingyu,

It works with the color version of this photo, but even after loading the new update, (2.0.5), it till doesn’t work with the B&W version.

I have the same problem using a Windows 11 PC. This is obviously a serious bug

I made a task for my team to fix non-Raw > non-Raw processing for B&W images.

Still having the issue…

I experience the same problem. Does onyone have a solution to it. Thanks a lot and kind regards

Just came to say this is still happening.

Still have this problem, big problem
