Issues with Photo AI presets: Can't automatically apply custom settings, Upscale is limited and not as simple as Topaz V

It’s unimaginable that after so many iterations, the preset value of Photo AI cannot be automatically used for added pictures through custom settings in the software settings like Video AI. Currently, for each picture, I have to click one by one to use custom settings. I found a right-click “apply preset value”, but it prompts that “upscale” cannot be used more than once. After clicking “output”, it only upscales the first two pictures. For the subsequent pictures, the resolution cannot be improved. Setting the default preference to improve resolution is also useless. I really can’t understand why this software cannot be as simple as Topaz Video AI. I’ve been struggling for several hours and still can’t get it done. Every time I want to directly process hundreds of pictures with AI, it’s impossible to click on each picture one by one and set custom settings.
The built-in preference setting effects of the software are also incomplete. For example, for noise reduction, there is only AI mode and there is no degree from 0 to 100. Presets can only be used once and cannot be applied to batch images for repair using preset settings. That is, there are bugs everywhere. It is unimaginable that after so many iterations and updates of this software, it is still like this and performs like the initial version.

Topaz Photo AI [v3.2.1] on [Windows10]

After several hours of experimentation, it is found that “apply current setting” seems to work, but it is also very troublesome. It is hoped that there will be unified default and custom settings built in like those in Topaz Video AI.

In the newest version, Autopilot now suggests enhancements by default rather than automatically applying enhancements as users request.

To set Autopilot back to the original behavior, please follow these steps:

  1. Open Photo AI as a standalone application.
  2. Go to Edit > Preferences > Autopilot, and enable the option to Automatically apply filters, then click Apply.
