Images No Longer Saving at 300 DPI

My images are no longer saving to 300 dpi. In preferences, my output resolution to is set to default to 300, as well as in the “upscale section” of the workspace.

I was ablate output to 300 dpi, this is out of the blue.

Please advise!

Where do you set that?

If you use DPI to upscale and it is being used as a standalone it should write in the metadata. If you use from PS it cannot update the metadata as PS Exports the image.

Your image has pixels, but not per inch because it is a fully digital image without a physical thing attached. Without a physical thing like a piece of paper you can not use a ruler to measure the size of your image in inches and therefore not calculate the dots per inch. That means the dpi saved in the metadata of the image do not refer to the image. They refer to your printer.

Jupp thats true.

To change the dpi just open the image in PS and change the dpi and pixels.

But in the past the software did output the images in the same dpi as the input.

Because of this you did stay more safe b4 print.

I prefer to stay more save.

Please take a screen recording of this behavior so I can see exactly what is happening.

Loom is a great free application for this: Loom | Free Screen & Video Recording
