Image sequence 400+ very slow

working on an M1ultra mac 64GBRAM with SSDs for images (lots of free space there)

just sharpening an image sequence of 4 png,
setting of first image applied to all and than patch export:
fast start, everything fine but
after processing of about 400 images PhotoAI becomes so slow, just unusable.
maybe a cummulative problem of ram used ?

You need hardware platform which is suitable for AI processing. M1 based on entry-level CPU and very poor GPU cores. Upgrade your Mac or use platform more suitable for intensive AI processing.

Let’s try updating you to the most recent version release to see if this resolves the issue.

Please make sure you’ve also turned off any firewall, VPN, or proxy that may be on your computer. These are known to block the installation. Also, make sure there are no settings or configurations in your OS system that could interfere.

nothing new, nothing better in latest release : why did you suggest it ?
have you done any investigations by yourself ?

while I’m happy to give feedback
I’m not responsible to give my time for a job you should do !

here are some of my results,
working on a 1300 pcs 4k png sequence
all same shot with minor changing.
just sharpen/lensBlur with maximum.
all on mac M1/ultra with 64GB

first image: 1sec/png
after 400 images: 18sec/png
after 530 images: 29sec/png
after 620 images: 47sec/png
stopped after that long processingf

same images splitted into folders of just 400,
and processing just one folder at a time,
allowed me to finish the job in a reasonable time.

regards,
kurt

I can confirm there is a memory leak in the v2.4.x releases! It’s not you, it’s the software. See my post here:
