Image doesn't appear in Lightroom to the same folder where I grabbed it?

Thank You for an Awesome product!
I have some issue with Lightroom Classic!
When I Import an image to Topaz AI
and then save it into Lightroom!
It doesn’t appear in Lightroom to
the same folder where I grabbed it?

For some reason, when I opened up AI
for the first time yesterday!
The 2 first images did! appeared next
to the original images in Lightroom.
But fter that, they did not!

Now I have to Import them back within Lightroom.
Not a bigg deal! But is it a Bugg?

Thanks for reaching out. When you use the Topaz Photo AI plugin for Lightroom Classic, the plugin will add the file to the catalog in the original folder next to original image.

At the moment, it does not import a file to collections.

Let me know if that helps or if you have further questions about this.

This is exactly what AI did not do yesterday!
But today it actually start working again! Confused??
I have done nothing with settings in LR/AI.

We haven’t made any changes so it should continue working like that if you are processing from the original folder.

If you are processing from a collection the behavior will be different as Topaz Photo AI currently does not add a file to a collection.

I am having the same issue with Photo AI v1.5.1 with processing/saving RAW images.

If I choose Plug-in Extras > Process with Topaz Photo AI the RAW photo appears to process correctly in Photo AI and when I choose “Save to Adobe Lightroom Classic” it processes the photo and indicates it is “saving” the image.

However I cannot find the processed image. It is not being added to Lightroom Classic in the folder where the original file/photo was located. I am choosing to process the image NOT from a collection.

Any idea where this photo is being stored?

Edited to add - I exported the file from LRC and ran Photo AI manually on the exported photo. It completed fine, attached a .DNG suffix but the file size went from 46MB to 268MB! Wow! Could the file size be an issue for LRC?

LrC has a maximum file size of 512 megapixels which is almost 1GB file size.

The DNG output file size is expected behavior. The original RAW file is likely compressed while our DNG export is full size and uncompressed so the output file is larger. We do not have access to a DNG compression algorithm as that is proprietary to Adobe.

If you need to decrease the DNG file size, use Adobe DNG Converter to compress the DNG file to a smaller size.

For the file not saving back to LrC, please open Topaz Photo AI, go to the menu bar on the top and click the Help > Open Log Folder menu option. Attach the logs files that you can see in the window that opens.
