How to watch a rendered preview without rendering a new one?

So, I’m kinda confused about this one, if you render a preview, you can’t watch in the program, as it renders another preview, but not continuously but stuttering as it creating the new preview of course. I can only watch a preview if i use the Open in explorer option in the preview queue. There is also no option to disable this auto rendering. If i go back to the Original tab of the video i cant watch the preview either.

The team is working on some reports from users about playback issues in the latest version. They are hoping to have a patch ready to go soon.

but why cant i just view the rendered preview in the program, i don’t want to render a new one, just want to watch it… And this has been a issue since the whole UI change.

When a preview finishes you should be able to hit the play button and watch that preview there. The live render will start rendering past the original end of the preview and continue to render out the video with your settings chosen. This is something the team is working on improving.

Are you unable to watch the preview at all in the app UI? Or is it just stuttering and having issues and not playing back smoothly? This what they are looking into and trying to smooth it out for users all on hardware options.

I will add a google link drive link here to two screengrabs of what is happening. I render a preview, and it continues to render, stutters here and there because it’s playing faster than it can render the new unwanted render, but also, it doesn’t stop! it continues rendering until i cancel it!

Thank you for those videos. I am sending them to the team for their review into the issue. This is an issue that they have been working on trying to resolve.

One option to prevent this is to use the In/Out markers and then select the “render in to out” time option and that will loop the playback and not have it continue to render the video past the Out marker.

I think what would instantly fix this issue is bringing back the option to turn off live render as for some reason this option was removed many versions ago.
