As of the latest update I am getting grid artifacts in various photos that have lots of blue sky in the background, but also other backgrounds too. Because I photograph birds these are quite numerous. I looked and saw this has been a consistent issue for at least a couple years. I wasted a lot of time processing and exporting photos only to find they don’t come out as previewed in the Autopilot. Very frustrating…I am unable to remove RAW DeNoise so I can’t change the order in which I process the photo. It happens when I use RAW DeNoise only and also when using the Sharpen feature additionally.
I checked back to the previous year of using topaz and couldn’t find a single instance of grid artifacts with any similar backgrounds or otherwise in my collection. I’m using RAW photos and not interested in a work around that involves converting them to other formats. I shoot with a Canon R5 and I have a Mac Studio w Monterey 12.7.1 I attached a couple of examples. Thanks.
