A patch this week with fixes for the grid artifact in High Fidelity, the 12k pixel limit for Redefine, and various other improvements.
Please continue to share your images and tests and let us know of any issues you encounter. We’ll be updating Gigapixel regularly to address your feedback.
Thank you!

As of 8.1.0 have still been having issues with unpredictable output dimensions.
So, in order to output 1920x1080, I still have to deliberately overshoot (specify 1922 or 1082) to make sure all 16:9 source images can later be cropped back to 1920x1080 in an extra editing step rather than coming out as mixture 1920x1080+/- 2 pixels (such as 1920x1079), etc.
Could you please release a hot fix to resolve issue with Redefine on Mac / M1**** (0 CPU/GPU usage)**strong text
This was introduced in 8.0.3. redefine in 8.0.2 worked on M1 Max (there were periods of no resource usage but with 8.0.3 it became fully unusable for redefine).

EDIT: I uninstalled GAI, downloaded installer and reinstalled. Now it works.
all prior installations were updates, so something got corrupted during the updates.
I updated Gigapixel a few mintes ago, restarted my workstation and had to take notice, that the issue with the “Face Recovery” is still not fixed yet. I need an aopp which runs reliable, but this is not the case here. I can’t do any batch-work under such conditions and you people are still either not willingly nor able to fix this for more than one year now and I know that I am not allone!
Seriously, Topaz? Did you folks actually read what we people report? It doesn’t looks so to me! I’m highly frustrated and angry about myself that I payed you a second time this year! Have you ever worked on this issue? Have you ever tried to solve it? I bet you didn’t, foljks, and that is a shame!
Checking in if it’s just me or if the Generative Features ai enhancements are painfully slow for others as well. I’m on a 2019 Macbook. I let one file run overnight and it still didn’t complete. The other features work fine. Is there a trick that I’m missing? Even the preview takes 20+ minutes, it says, and by then I need to work on other images. I’m on Gigapixel 8.1.1 using with my Firefly ai images. Thanks for any potential help. I have no issues with slow loading on Firefly AI processing. Curious.
Still doesn’t fix Redefine issue where preview and output is just this image. Reverting back to 8.0.2 which works perfectly fine on iMac M3, 24gb, 8/10 core. Ths is what the preview and export looks like with this latest update using Redefine on any level.
Hi lenka, Macs (even the newer M series) don’t seem to like this level of generative AI just yet, though M4 may be giving users some hope. Your 2019 Intel MacBook, as nice as it is/was, is not going to be speedy in this case, ever.
Firefly processes on the web (remote servers, as I understand), so of course that will be decently fast. For fun not too long ago I did some online AI rendering using a 2008 (!) MacBook Pro running Linux and it was modern fast. Because it was processing online…
Topaz offers Cloud processing which is pretty much your only option for good speed on your computer right now. Results will be unpredictable…
At the moment Gigapixel users are better off using PCs with high-end graphics cards. I have tested this myself. We’re hoping for some optimization for Macs going forward.
It would be great to have a Topaz Gigapixel label added automatically to the processed file.
This is a simple request and this small change will be in sync with Photo Ai.
This problem is happening to Mac only it seems. I reverted to 8.0.2 and it works fine with that version. Anything higher than that Redefine just doesn’t work. Plus I experienced unexpected application quitting.
