Full Frame Stabilization Isn't Filling in 'Blanks'

Overview: Choosing the full-frame option under stabilization will stabilize the footage by adjusting the positional orientation of the shot (quite well I might add), but there isn’t any “AI filling of the blank spaces” as the documentation mentions.

Prerequisites:

  • Short 1080p PNG sequence

Repro Steps:

  1. Import a short 1080p PNG sequence into Topaz AI 4
  2. Activate “Stabilization AI” in the sidebar
    • Method: Full-Frame
    • Strength: 50
    • Rolling Shutter: Unchecked
    • Jittery Motion: Unchecked
  3. In the right preview window, choose “Preview In → Out”
  4. View Preview

Expected Results: Preview shows stabilized video with black areas filled with AI generated footage

Actual Results: Preview shows stabilized video with black areas – No generated ‘fill’
