When I select multiple images and click Apply Autopilot, I get a little window popping up that says “Are you sure you want to apply Autopilot settings to all selected images?” along with two buttons that I assume mean something like “OK” and “cancel”. But for some reason, the buttons are in Chinese. The rest of my interface is in English. Anybody have any idea why this would be happening? I am running Topaz Photo AI 3.5.2 (but this has been happening through a couple updates now).
Thanks for flagging here!
This is an very odd issue that we noticed introduced in the last few versions, for which we were told by users that reached out by email to Support (support@topazlabs.com).
I have added this thread on the development team ticket open for this issue and will circle back here once that is resolved!
And me…was it because I was in China for my original download (I have uninstalled and reinstalled since but still persists
tom
I’ve never been to China, so I don’t know if that’s it.
Although I do actually have the Mandarin language pack installed (Windows 10). Maybe that’s related?
If you have the Madarin package installed on your system, this is the cause of that bug. We are working on fixing it
I also have Chinese (Simplified Mainland China) Microsoft Pinyin installed on my system, which is not the cause of the issue but only reveals the bug in Topaz’s Photo AI software programing. In the “Select Images” tab also reveals Chinese writing there for “Next Image” and “Previous Image”.
If getting rid of the second language on my PC would correct this, that would be great. Unfortunately I need that there for other purposes and I can’t be deleting other programs in my PC that work correctly for a program that has bugs in it. (Trying to say this as nice as I can)
Yes, the bugs is in Photo AI as noted before. We are working on a fix for this. Somehow if the user has another language package installed on the computer, it creates this issue. You don’t need to delete anything, for now, you can just continue using Photo AI normally.
