File came back to LR damaged

Topaz Photo AI 2.0.5
M1 Mac Mini with Sonoma 14.0
LR Classic

I sent the tif from LR to topaz and it opened it fine and accurately identified the subject. However, I only wanted to sharpen a small area around the eyes so I selected to edit the mask. I started that editing with the AI Brush until I realized that there was a choice of regular brush at which point I switched and continued removing mask.
when I saved my mask changes the main display showed that a part of what I had erased was not erased so I re-edited the mask (this time regular brush was already selected) to my satisfaction and saved it and the mask looked fine. I applied the sharpening (lens blur) to the reduced area and did a save and return to LR.
LR took the file in but gave me an error message, “the file appears to be unsupported or damaged”

I selected show in finder and was able to quick preview the file… I opened the file in Preview and it looked fine but i was not able to export it as either heif or jpg. I got an error msg that was very generic…“the document … could not be exported”

However I was able to export it as a PDF … although it has rotated the image…IDK

Here is the log file:

I am happy to upload the image file if you want but it is large ~22Mb

I have duplicated this issue… If I “edit subject” under “sharpening subject” and apply the changes. When I save and return to LR the image is corrupted and can’t be opened by LR.

Please send me the file so I can try to reproduce this. You can securely submit your image(s) to my Dropbox using the link below. Please be sure to send me a note to let me know you sent something.
