Export is choppy!

Export is very choppy and stuttering. Source video is an mp4 file. I’m enhancing the video by 2x from 3840x2160 to 7680x4320 and keeping it the original fps (59.94). Exporting in encoder ProRes because any of the H26 encoders produces a resolution error. Does anyone know why this keeps happening to me?

are you sure that your pc is fast enough to play a 60 fps video of that size? also prores produces very large files. is the drive fast enough to read the file?

What is the Mbps of the exported video?

Most likely reasons:

• The display can’t handle 7680x4320
• The display can’t handle 59.94 fps
• The bitrate is too high for the device

What do you recommend I do with my export to make the video usable with my device?

1.42 gbit
I’m not very familiar with this and new to video editing but it seems like a lot. lol do you have any tips for my export to make this usable?

I’m not sure, it might not be, being that my topaz exports at most .2 fps.

But when I export is h264 r h265 it always says there’s a resolution error and fails to export. Any tips?

could be a limitation of the video container. if you use mp4 maybe try mov or vice versa!

Not every computer can play 8k 60p 1420Mbps ProRes video smoothly.

You can check the Task Manager to see the CPU, GPU, and hard disk usage.
If any of them reach 100% load, that is the cause of choppy and stuttered playback.

I most of the time use anymp4 converter to see if the file is fine

If the export still is bad I pick the original file and use kernel video repair this asks for a reference file with a coding that is good it then removes the original container and uses the good reference container and then when repaired successfully the corrupt container now has a good container some of my files now were much longer. I have seen files that looked ok but actually had some minor container corruption after using the reference container of a 100 percent perfect video the corrupted minor was fine when importing and exporting in Topaz

So make sure your input file has a 100 percent clean container with metadata otherwise Topaz can become very very confused like not keeping on or suddenly starting half way

What is the max resolution of your display? Most likely it’s not an 8K display.

any of the H26 encoders produces a resolution error

H264 does not support 8K resolution.

it could have an HD screen, the 8k video will not jerk or lag, if it jerks, it’s due to the fps. if you shoot a 25 fps video on a standard 60 hertz screen, or even 120 hertz, if the screen does not adapt to the 25 or 50 fps frame rate, there will be slight jerks visible on the movements. (for this reason that even I who am in France I do not adhere to the 50 fps video because our TVs and smartphones are in 60 hertz) in short, a video of 59.94 fps or 60 fps does not jerk on a screen 60 hertz or 120 hertz or more, but it lags if the speed is too high because of the limitation of the hard drive or ssd. and I think in his case his video lags because of that  it was just to clarify the difference between lag and jerk
