Export fails - an illegal memory access was encountered

On some of my exports, the operation fails on “an illegal memory access was encountered” errors. Attached system info and log files.

Thank you

Open the Preferences Panel and change the following settings.

File>Preferences>Processing

  1. Ensure that your GPU is selected for the AI Processor
  2. Set the max memory to 80% - RTX 4070 Super
  3. Set max processes to 1
  4. Save the settings and close the panel.
  5. Re-run your clip through the process that you were trying.

Thanks but I’ve already done that. I’ve reduced it to 75% and I’m still getting the error.

Anything else?

I am getting the same error upscaling with either Proteon or Iris. Consistently on one particular mp4 file. version 5.3.0

Here is another example where I’ll include the small mp4 being upscaled in v 5.3.2. I used both Proteus and Iris models and got similar problems.

apologies: my problem appears to be due to overclocking my GPU too much

Okay, we do not recommend running overclocking with the app as it is easy for the card and system to be overwhelmed and crash.

If you turn off the overclocking do you still experience the issue or does the system run stable for you?

Was going back over your logs and the AI Processor looks to have been using the Auto configuration instead of being set to your GPU for use. When you change the percentage to 75% did you also set the GPU to be used?

If so can you upload those logs were you got the error message still?

I turned down the overclocking. All’s well now! No crashing.

it’s always been using my GPU; I can observe that in the task manager. But I’ll double check. thanks for the suggestion!

I tried today again, this time I undervolted my GPU, specifically chose the GPU in TVAI and set memory limit to 80%.

This time, it worked without any errors.

I will continue running it on many other videos I have and will report back.

I have the same issue. Attempts at undervolting and setting memory limits, as well as trying various versions of graphics card drivers, were all ineffective.

can you share your logs for review?

Sure, log here

Seeing a TensorRT sync issue in the logs you sent over. Try lowering the max memory to 85% and see if that makes a difference.

Thank you for your reply. I’ve tried it, and tried various values, but none of them work.

Not sure why I did not get a notification that you replied late last week, my apologies. Can you share the updated logs so I can see what is going on and if it is still showing the same error messages?
