Error after 27 hours of rendering. 2 hours before task was completed

Currently rendering some longer files with Rhea, Nyx, and Themis. Gives amazing results, but takes 0,6 fps even on MacStudio M4 Max. Supposed to be finished in 2 hours. I realized that all of a sudden, there was not only an error showing up in Topaz Video AI, but also the at least 60GB that were already deleted INSTANTLY (not transferred into the trash) by Topaz. WHY? That render has cost a lot of time, energy, and computer power that it could not use for more productive work.

Please explain to me how I can get back the video that was already 90% rendered. It’s very easy to create a working video segment from the corrupted file. I don’t understand why this program arbitrarily deletes MY files. It seems to be more artificial than intelligent….

Thank you for your help.

The logs are showing that the system became overwhelmed and ran out of memory resources. This terminated the job and cleared the temporary files that had been created.

Running Rhea and Nyx are both very heavy models and can overwhelm a system, then adding Themis on top is a lot. I would recommend breaking those up into separate passes to help your system run a bit easier and reduce the risk of errors.

Do you have the crash/recovery features turned on in the Preferences Panel?
