Recover human faces is excellent. The AI model does recognize a dog face as a “face” but recovery of dog face details is poor. Starting with say dogs and cats, this would be an excellent additional feature.

Having an animal face detect, much like the kind you would find in camera autofocus systems, and being able to tell the system that this is an animal (monkeys are especially difficult at the moment, just turns them into humans). But this would be very useful for old pet photos I come across a lot

We need the ability to manually select faces for the Recover Face option. Many times there are additional faces that I would like to recover but can’t. Also being able to select other faces than human faces. For example, I take pictures of animals and I would love the ability to apply a similar Recover Face capability for animals.
I AGREE. As an animal photographer, I could use animal, bird, and insect face recovery. Canon offers animal face recognition in autofocus in R-series cameras, so I know its possible.

Suggested feature improvement: Animal Face Recovery. If you train it on cats, dogs and horses, you could vastly increase the popularity of Gigapixel. Being able to upscale those old photos of young “Fluffy” would have quite an appeal for pet owners.

I am wildlife photographer by hobby and I use all product of Topaz. Absolutely in love with them.
I have suggestion about feature which can help person like me a lot.
I would like to suggest that please add option to ask user what is the subject which they want to recover or sharpen or similar. e.g. I clicked Snow leopard and wanted to discover long distance shot but it has draw a face of Cat kind for leopard.
You can make field optional and give message to user if you provide this input then accuracy of AI model will be more. Use input as detail of subject. e.g. Snow leopard or tiger or particular bird and that way you can use AI model more precise to draw data and accurate into.
This was recently added but removed again ? Now the Photo AI do process with Super focus which is very very bad result. It delete entire face it self. It was much better 3-4 months ago.
