You’ve posted under a the new Topaz Photo Category and you’re asking about the old Topaz Photo AI so, I suspect you actually asking about the new version Topaz Photo.
Topaz Photo Studio New Version:
Yes there’s a Trial of the new version However, you first have to take out a Subscription for $199 then you can try the Full Version with Absolutely No Restrictions for Twi Days / 48 Hours and if you find that Topaz Photo isn’t what you want then, you can Cancel within those Two Days / 48 Hours and Receive a Full Refund.
Please bear in mind if you don’t Cancel within the Seven Days you will be Committed for the Year.

Topaz Photo AI Old version:
Topaz Photo AI has now been Discontinued however, you are still able to Download it and try it on a Free Trial for Thirty Days you won’t be able to Purchase Topaz Photo AI but, it gives you a good idea and understanding of how Topaz Photo works in general.
The main Differences between the two Applications are with the old Topaz Photo AI you won’t have access to the new AI Models Standard MAX, Wonder V2 Dust & Scratch V2, Recover V3, Remove V2 and Unlimited Free Cloud Rendering with the old Topaz Photo AI you have to buy Credits for you to use Cloud Rendering.

Interesting I’m afraid Steve, you’ve got me there
The $163 a year deal only applies if you have Two or More Current versions of the Original Topaz Applications Topaz Photo AI, Gigapixel and or Topaz Video AI (Meaning if your Current Licences are still active and haven’t Expired) which Qualifies you as what’s known as a Founder Member in other words you’ll be Grandfatherd in to this special deal.
The next thing you need to do is speak politely to the Good People at Topaz Support I’m pretty sure the Two Days / 48 Hours Trial still applies however, you still need to speak to Topaz Support because, at this late stage they are the only ones who can activate the Founders Qualification for you.

Apologies I was unaware of the changes made to the Trial Period I have now corrected my original replies
Is the Topaz Studio Subscription worth the money that’s for you to decide, yes there’s Advantages & Disadvantages and as I mentioned that’s for you to decide but, for myself someone who upgraded the Originals every year then, paying the Subscription is no different I still get to use the Latest and Greatest Software available and believe me if we only concentrate on Topaz Photo there is no other overall Application that comes close.
For example; since the initial transition to the Subscription Model in September last year Topaz, has added several new AI Models and Updates including Dust & Scratch 2 Wonder 2 Remove 2 Standard MAX, Recover 3 and soon a new Denoising Model Denoise MAX plus not forgetting Unlimited Cloud Image Rendering whereas with the Previous Topaz Photo AI you had to purchase Credits to use Cloud Rendering.

Thanks, Andy, for taking your time to help me. I decided to go with the whole bundle, on sale for less than Photo alone. I am primarily interested in all the photo related stuff but have some old video I’d like to try to restore.
