Photo is becoming cropped without any reason. The original photo is added below and the screenshot is the way it is cropped on (zoom = fit). This was not an issue on the earlier version, but I just upgraded the version.
I experience the same problem on version 2.2.1 M1 Macbook with Sonoma 14.1
Some pictures always get cropped, even though I never wanted that. Very annoying when batch processing, as I have to recheck every file for possible subject difference.
I downloaded your image and ran it through TPAI. I also got the crop. There must be something about this DSCO file, or it it happening with others? I have not had it on any of my files, whetherARW, TIF or JPG.
I also ran the image through Topaz Sharpen AI and there was no issue.
You need to send your logs and the original file to Support for them to investigate.
M1 Mac Mini, 16GB, Sonoma 14.3.
I haven’t seen the issue pop up in the recent update (2.2.1), so I assume it’s fixed. But it might be this file, it works if I go through my normal workflow from LR CC → Photoshop → Automate(Topaz AI)
Whatever it is, it is not fixed. At least on a Mac. But I suspect it IS to do with this particular file. Have you tried it yourself? Konrad did upload it for others to test!
I found out that this only happens when I crop an image in Lightroom and export the DNG to Topaz. So maybe Topaz takes the original file size, not the altered one as a base…
@malte.widenka Have you tried contacting the Topaz support team directly and brought this to their attention? This is certainly an odd one.
I opened the picture in a few other apps and it behaved differently but only TPAI has that tight crop.
When I open the picture on my end the logfile shows
[2024-01-03 19:27:09.738, 6.00 μs] [16ced7000] Warn | No default crop origin found in EXIF data

Which I find weird … where is the crop information coming from?
Also when I look at the picture metadata in XnView there are a few warnings.
@Konrad82 yes, I did and we found the issue this night. There is a bug in the lens correction part, if I turn this off in the topaz preferences, everything is fine. Since the lensecorrection is already done in Lightroom, there is no need anyway. so this is fine for me now.
