DeNoise AI 2.1.0

Excellent , new fixed update is brilliant , thanks :grin:

I will take a look at this, thanks for the report.

Upgraded to 2.1.2 via auto notice in software. Ran great, able to use NEF or TIFF files, excellent speed, saved quicker. today any NEF or TIFF file will not save locking application up. Rebooted computer, removed 2.1.2, reinstalled 2.1.2 it still locks up. Went back to 2.0.0 and works as before.

Since the upgrade to 2.1.2 I don’t seem to be able to save a file name without the -denoise suffix.

I am using the custom filename and clearing both fields (prefix and suffix) but the file name comes out as xxxxxxxx-denoise-denoise.jpg

Thanks

It looks like the preferences and new save dialog do not match for DeNoise. This will require an update to fix, I’ll start working on that.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks for the quick response.

In the mean time, do I take it that I can set that up in preferences?

By the mismatch I mean that there is a hidden option that is available in other applications that was not made available in DeNoise.

In order to turn off this setting you would need to edit the registry on Windows, or edit a plist settings file on Mac.

For windows you can run regedit, navigate to this directory, double click the highlighted key, type in “false” and save it. For mac the process is more involved and I can’t give instructions as easily.

OK. Thanks.

Think I will wait for a fix rather than tinker with the registry :slightly_smiling_face:

We will be trying to bundle a few other fixes to avoid showering people in tiny updates and expect to hopefully update on Monday, so you will have to wait until then. It will be fixed in the next version though.

Thank you for reporting it.

No problem.

I would like to say how impressive this product is. It has revolutionised my photography.

Cheers

Colin

Hi, I am sorry but I am not at all happy at all with processing results after the last update yesterday. (windows10, RAW files)
Auto is much worse ( too radical ) with much loss of detail.
Sharpening is not good for me either.
I now have blurry, soft photos where as 3 days days I was very happy with DeNoise.
……is there a way to undo the last update Please ?
thanks

The slider setting in Auto-detect seems a bit too high for me, compared to the older versions.
Otherwise, this update so far works perfectly.
Thank you Topas for this update!

Just reduce the slider setting a bit after Auto-detect , that’s how I do it.

Thanks but tried that.
Results for me are much worse than pre update ( and I have done a lot of cross checks on past images)
Can I undo the last update ??
cheers

it also happen on navigating between images, when clicking another image in the list, the recover original detail settings of previous image is reset to zero when auto detect settings is enabled

I’ve just downloaded the trial version and I seem to have the same issue others reported earlier in the week with the full version. I’m using a Mac (High Sierra) and saved one image last night but have been unable to save any today - either the save doesn’t do anything or the program hangs.

Something isn’t right. The output is nothing close to the preview. Please see linked example.

I notice that when applying auto-detect settings with AI Clear (using Denoise version 2.1.2 on a Mac) that the results are consistently over sharpening/over noise reducing images as compared to previous releases. Was the algorithm changed in some way? In my opinion, it worked fine previously.

Thanks.
