Cursor keys not behaving as expected in save dialog

[If you are posting a new bug, please include the following]

  1. The bug / behavior you have encountered
If you open a save dialog in TVAI (e.g. Export as) the cursor keys don’t actually move the cursor in the filename text entry field but instead move the video one frame forward/backward.

  2. Your system profile
Mac Studio M2 Ultra, MacOS Sonoma

  3. Your log files (Help > Logging > Get Logs for Support)
    No logs needed

  4. Any screenshots as necessary
here is a screen recording of the erroneous behavior:
    TVAI-cursor issue.mp4.zip (1.2 MB)

Still the same in the newest Alpha 4.1.0.3.a

Just tested this on a PC and do not see the same issue. Are you seeing it in the actual v4.1.0 release or just the alpha?

I tested this on Mac and do see the bug. I will reach out to our dev team to get this resolved in an upcoming update.

  1. When editing the file name of an export before committing to saving the arrows keys do not work. It is really helpful to use the arrow keys to move the cursor around the text.

Instead when you use the arrow key left and right it moves the frames of the video in the background.

Every other application has it so that when you are in save mode like this you can use the arrow keys to move the cursor.

Otherwise phenomenal product this is the only bug I have found.

Ouch - is this still here?

I reported this bug in Dec 2023 already…

Yes I have experienced this with every release I can recall. Would be a significant improvement as I edit the suffix of every export with my own naming conventions and it is significantly faster to use the keyboard vs the mouse.

Currently running the latest version of Topaz.

Thanks!
