Chosen default preset ignored on Mac

Regardless of which preset I select as the default in the settings, the preset in the UI is always “None”:

  1. When the app starts
  2. When a new video is loaded
  3. When a different video is selected

Happens in versions 5.2.3, 5.3.0 and 5.3.1
