Cant export video to AV1 format

Hi all, its my second post here, I wanted to test topaz also on my laptop, because on my server pc i have a problem to run it at all, and now, I have another problem. My laptop spec:

CPU: Intel i7-14700HX, 20 cores, 28 threads
GPU: Nvidia GF RTX 4070, 8 GB VRAM
RAM: 32 GB DDR5
Windows 11 x64

I cant export video to AV1 format, on Nvidia site it says: “All GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs — including laptop GPUs and the recently launched GeForce RTX 4070”. On logs files I can see:

Your platform doesn’t support hardware accelerated AV1 decoding.

In settings I have set “Video Encoding GPU” to Nvidia, but it doesn’t change anything, any fix?

I was trying to export two different videos with no luck, one vid is AV1, one AVC. Screen shots of errors, video files info and support logs in attacheme. Is this software even working? (irony)

Ok, I found solution, the problem was with folder permissions C:\ProgramData\Topaz Labs LLC, this is how it looks before:

And this is how it looks after i made changes to folder permissions:

The program could not download any models because it did not have permissions for this folder, now everything is working fine.

Thanks for sharing the update—that’s very helpful. There are some known issues with AV1. Would you be able to send us the updated logs after adjusting those permissions settings and running the same clip back through?

Unfortunately its not fixed at 100%, I mean, I still have a problems with this software. What i figured out is:

You can enchance H264 vid and export it to AV1
You can enchance H265 vid and export it to AV1
You can enchance H264 NVEC vid and export it to AV1
You can enchance H265 NVEC vid and export it to AV1

You can enchance AV1 but can’t export it to any other format, not AV1, not H264 or H265

But the issue with decoding av1 is already known right? So i didn’t write this further…
