Can't Change Job Priority

Running VAI 6.0.1 on Windows. It seems I can’t change the priority of a job in the queue with 6.0.1. I think it worked fine in 6.0.0 and in version 5.x.

I right click on the job I want to increase or decrease priority and it just stays Normal the whole time.

Any insight would be appreciated.

I’m having the same issue with v6.0.1 on macOS 15.1.1.

Thanks for reporting this. We are aware of this issue and looking into it!

I’m using Video AI 6.0.1 and I am still not able to change the “Priority” of any videos in my queue. I’ve tried every setting from “Very High” to “Very Low” priority and none of them change from their default “Normal” setting after I select a different one.

Is there a fix for this or is the feature currently broken?

I’m honestly wondering if the priority setting is CPU scheduling or changing priority on queued files. I assume it’s the former as i haven’t tested it myself.

If it’s CPU scheduling, you can always manually check priority of the ffmpeg.exe process in task manager while it’s processing, and change it manually if it doesn’t work in TVAi (which at this point wouldn’t surprise me as half the features in TVAi are broken).

Edit* It does not have to do with CPU scheduling, even if the wording is almost word for word the same as CPU scheduling, which still is a feature that would make sense.

After testing it, it is to prioritize certain videos if you have several in queue. Works in v5.3.6.
