Multiple old issues re-introduced in 5.3.4. And upper-right area of screen has TRIAL MODE with yellow background.
Don’t have time right now to document further.
Win11. GeForce GTX 3080.
This was released today. 10/15/2024. Been out here for several hours. Wazzup?
Logically speaking, it appears that new fixes were applied to an old version and released without the intermediate version/fixes. Primarily a version control issue?
Looks like no others have experienced these issues. I can still use the product, even though needing to click on TRIAL MODE with yellow background every time I want to use the product, in order for my subscription to be validated (have not encountered this prior to yesterday) is an added task.
So I’ll cancel my ticket here. And am looking forward to the next release to have fixed some of the new/old issues encountered.
Also, in trying to process 10 seconds of a video, from a beginning point beyond the beginning of file, the split window of existing video and processed video is out of sync. As in, the orig video is displayed beginning at beginning of file, with the processed video trying to play, but seems to be “stuck” on the first frame of the processed video and the window is blinking and not proceeding to play. Proteus, Normal Focus Fix.
And the computer auto shutdown feature (after processing) seems to be missing.
Anyhow, not enough time to document properly, and can still do some work in spite of the issues. Bye!
I’m having same issue. Additionally in my case the timeline functions lockup and become nonop. I’ve tried several different vids and all have these problems since I upgraded to 5.3.4. I’m Mac silicon running Sonoma. Was running 5.3.3 on my Macbook Pro which worked just fine. I’m rolling back to 5.3.3 as 5.3.4 is broken.
UPDATE: Preview is also broken on my Macbook while trying to run 5.3.4. Application fully locks up and must be ‘force quit’ when I move playhead to end of video and then try to back off a few frames to decide where to trim to when running a model. Does it consistently.
When the app is restarted then the previous activation is lost and the product requires reactivation to only proceed to lock up when I load up a video and try to trim it.
Activation is now broken on Windows 11 24H2 after update to 5.3.4.
On further investigation:
Problem can be partially resolved by uninstalling, deleting all Video AI settings folders (in %AppData%, %LocalAppData%, %ProgramData%) and reinstalling.
However, the product will become deactivated as soon as any custom settings are saved/applied and further attempts to reactivate will not persist.
As I want to be able to define custom settings (such as: output format, output folder, disable data collection, etc) I have reverted to v5.3.3 until this is fixed (using the full uninstallation method described above).
Same here. Windows 10.
License activation on every start of the app.
Timeline also locks for me on most videos. Whats worse is that it breaks playback (playing) of all videos loaded into topaz even those you add after. You cant “pause” neither “jump” anywhere on timeline. Even the preview / viewport get frozen on the video you hit play, so any other video you select it will show image of the broken one. Only solved by restarting topaz for me, which bring you back to “license activation”. Very annoying loop of issues.
I am definitely reading forums next time before updating.
Today’s 5.35 seems to have fixed many issues. Thanks to Topaz’ developers for the great work! The issues I noted above have all been addressed successfully, AFAIK.
