Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Step 1 upon opening I get and error R6034 for the C-Runtime library.

I would like for you to try updating the driver to see if this helps resolve the problem. Here are the steps to do this:

  • Open your Device Manager

  • Go to Display adapters and double-click on your AMD Radeon RX550. Then go to the Driver tab and Update the driver.

After you have updated your driver, let me know if you are still experiencing any problems, and I’ll keep an eye out for your reply here.

John, I checked the driver and it was the latest version according to Windows.
So, nothing changed and I still get the error message. Besides, after the error message, the app starts and seems to work without any problems, but if that is really true I do not know.

After this process, please make sure to restart your machine.

Hello John, Somehow the problem disappeared without clearing the registry.
Maybe windows did an update that solved the issue.

Hello John, upon a second look it showed that the problem didn’t exist when I did use it as photo AI plugin for ACDSee Ultimate.
When used it stand alone, the problem still did exist. I therefore followed your instructions and uninstalled the app and removed the registry entry for Topaz (including my sub keys for Sharpen, denoise and gigagpixel AI apps. I suppose that I don’ t need these anymore.
When I reinstalled Photo AI (v3.2.2) it worked without a problem but wit a different interface .
