I tried to use Aion to slow motion footage… Slow motion is much better as in other models like Apollo or chronos… but there is flashing artefacts for some ms… in entire footage… I tried to generate multiple times it just not work…

Slowmotion is well done but this artefacts flashing randomly make it unusable…
I have realy issue to find any working model without ranom artefacts…I have feeling ists not production ready…
Can you share the settings that you were using and some details on the clip? Or if you can share the clip for testing that will be helpful for the team to see and replicate the issue.
I’m getting exactly the same coloured banding.
I’m trying to use Aion to create some slow motion clips however they are all producing very pronounced vertical coloured banding across all footage.
I’ve tried:
Experimenting with different output speeds - from 4x-16x.
Completely different footage from difference source cameras
Different re enhancement models
I’m on a 2025 (2 month old) MacBook Pro M4 Max chip, 64gb ram and running Sequoia 15.6

Perhaps limiting VRAM will work for you. I tested this workaround succesfully on M2 and M4 pro.

Sadly I received an email from Topaz stating the following: " What you’re seeing is a known bug that occurs specifically on Mac systems with the frame interpolation Aion model and resolutions of 4k and over. Our team is aware of the issue and is actively working on a fix for a future update.
For now, I would recommend either downscaling to 1080p and run through Aion, then upscale back to 4k. Alternatively, this bug does not affect Windows systems so if you have a Windows system you can borrow that meets the minimum system requirements for Video AI this could work as well."
So it’s a quite significant Mac problem and for me, down scaling and upscale is not really an adequate solution
