Aion causes large magenta patches to appear in big areas of the output video on my Mac Mini M4 Pro, randomly every few seconds throughout the output video. I’ve tried everything: reinstalling (deleting plist), switching versions from 5.2.x to 5.5, testing all kinds of videos from different cameras, and combining it with other VEAI filters, changing GPU %VRAM , with or without low power mode, … The only conclusion I’ve reached is that it’s related to the processor and the source video resolution: it happens in 4K but not in FHD. This issue doesn’t occur on a MacBook Air M2. You should be able to reproduce it with any 4K video, which is why I’m not sending one. It would be very interesting to know if other users with this platform experience the same issue.
The SO version is macos Sequoia 15.1 (for both platforms).
I should also mention that Apollo doesn’t have this problem.
EDIT: This is exactly this previously reported bug I wasn’t aware of: Aion Slow motion unexpected artefacts?. It seems not solved. (M3 Max 64 GB, here M4Pro 64GB)
