After the update to 1.30 “sharpening” is of less quality.

Hi @wim.plomp, we’ve changed the sharpening model in Photo AI version 1.3.0 to a new model but have just added a Legacy Models toggle in version 1.3.1 that we released yesterday that you can re-enable the old sharpening models.

This will be under your Preferences menu in Photo AI.
