After cropping an image size autopilot preference ignored for all subsequent processing

When any crop is applied to an image, a preset Upscale output size set in preferences is respected with a slight change but all subsequent images processed in the same Photo AI session disregard the upscale shown before processing. During the export the output size is correctly shown but completely ignores the preference. Once Photo AI is closed and reopened the preset output size is again respected.

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Preference set to 2400px width (1.Preference preset.png)
  2. Open image and crop either with either original or changed ratio
  3. Upscale. Confirm preset is to be applied to upscaled, cropped image (2.Preset during upscale.png)
  4. View the actual dimensions of cropped output (5. Cropped size output.png)
  5. Open another image for processing without closing Photo AI, select upscale and view the dimensions (6. Next image output info.png)
It shows the correct output if the preset it respected.
  6. Select Export and view the queued dimensions (7. Next image pre-output info.png)
It shows that the preset has been ignored and a much larger output size is to be applied: instead of a width of 2400px it is showing 4963px
  7. View the completed output dimensions (8. Next image post-output info.png)
It again shows that the incorrect output size of 4963x3495 has been applied.

The really bad thing is that if I am processing multiple images and have to crop one, any of the rest of the images processed will be much larger than the preset size in the preference OR THE ONE INDICATED AFTER UPSCALE HAS BEEN SELECTED (which means that the user is given misleading information about what the output size will be).
This behavior will continue until Photo AI is closed and reopened.
I will then have to reprocess all of the output affected by this bug.

100% reproducible.

Can you confirm with me if you are using the Preset option for upscaling or only adjusting the Preferences for Upscaling by going to Preferences > Autopilot > Upscaling and resize?

It is not a Preset. It is set for Autopilot in the Preferences.

I have updated the title to reflect that it is an Autopilot preference.

Would you mind taking a screen recording of this behavior so I can see exactly what is happening? I tried to replicate your workflow and have not been able to receive the problem you are having. I’d like to share this information with the developers in order to get a better understanding as to why this might be occurring for you.

Loom is a great free application for this : Loom | Free Screen & Video Recording

I am not going to use a screen recorder that requires a login but having been a QE for over 15 years in Silicon Valley, I will send you a concise step by step process to reproduce. I am sorry for the delay but have been busy. I will try and get this to you soon.
