This is all you ever get, from any business. It’s not as if Topaz never made any changes to licensing or accounts before Adobe put their bid in.
I raised that concern before, too - I’d like a perma-licence for the old standalone Topaz applications, so I can download them with models, archive and have them ready anytime. Especially when Adobe will have Topaz Adobe’d.

Yeah, the business model for the DaVinci Resolve Studio is a ‘gigachad’, considering today’s 'let’s enshit everything!’ approach. The fact that Blackmagic isn’t publicly traded, and seemingly doesn’t want to, is really telling.
