The new behavior of automatic enrolment in preferences to anonymous sending of images on a random basis is upsetting people in the YouTube channels. You should have it OFF by default to comply with current privacy expectations.

Surely this is an oversight. The reputational damage could be substantial if it’s intended behaviour. I’m seeing discussions on multiple photography forums and the sentiment is decidedly unfavorable.
