Why Do I Want Video AI?

I own quite a few Topaz photo products and I like them because I think they provide great value. My one exception is Video AI. I mostly work with local documentary video(s) which are typically an hour in length, HD, shot with mid-range Panasonic cameras. I owned video AI for a couple of years but I could never get it to make any noticeable improvements to my video. I typically tried it on videos that had some kind of recording issue or on old videos recorded in the VHS era. Also it was SLOW on my fairly fast workstation (NVIDIA, lots of memory, 8 core Intel). Processing a 1-1.5 hour video could take 24 hours or more.

What am I missing? My Adobe Suite is north of $700 / yr. but Premiere Pro w/o plugins has a lot of functionality.

Could somebody that is using Video AI explain to me what they are using it for?

I mainly use Video AI to remove noise and slightly sharpen videos, even the newest ones. So what do I get from this? A clearer image and the resulting smaller file because the codec does not have to waste bytes on noisy fragments. This gives me a better quality video at approximately 50% of the original file size.
Sometimes I also enlarge DVD to FHD - the benefits You are known.

Please upload a video so that I can give it a try. processing a whole movie takes between 1,5 and 2,5 hours average.
