I’ve been trying to download the new Studio and Video applications. It took multiple attempts to download Video, with multiple failures and very slow download speeds. I eventually got it done. Photo downloads at dialup speeds (literally) and fails after less than an hour. Is this a systemic problem? My internet connection is 1Gb/s symmetrical and non-Topaz downloads run at very high speeds.
Hi Alex.
The issue here is that your connection is being interrupted during the Download and Installation process which is normally associated with an active VPN, Firewall, Add Blocker or similar connected with your Antivirus Software, here’s a link with some information from Topaz with instructions to fix this issue
Hope this helps
Thank you. I disabled my antivirus and there was no improvement on my Windows 11 PC. My MacBook runs the same antivirus, but the Topaz Photo download went at a very good speed. This is puzzling, but it solved the problem.
There might be another issues with your PC are your drivers up to date I would suggest contacting Topaz Support here’s the link to contact Topaz Support directly

Thank you for the follow-up. This is a mysterious issue, but the workaround is to download on my MacBook and transfer the installer files to my PC. My PC is new, and everything is up-to-date. I’m installing Topaz Photo 1.0.1 right now: the installer file downloaded very slowly on the PC and failed, but downloaded very quickly on the MacBook. The installation on the PC is downloading models from Topaz at 600+Mbit/s. Something in the Topaz Photo installer .msi causes it to download very slowly on Windows. I’ve been using computers for over 50 years, so nothing surprises me any more :-).,
I don’t know whether this is what’s happening to you, but I’ve noticed that downloading from the forum links can be very slow and prone to failure if you leave the forum page open in the browser.
I’ve had downloads going at 200KB/s or less suddenly speed up to 5MB/s or faster after closing the browser page showing the forum. This is in Firefox on Windows 10.
The best way to resolve this issue is to contact Topaz Support here’s the link again for you
