I have really loved using Topaz for restoring old home movies, and all kinds of things, but in the last few updates, the resulting audio has been a mess and very inconsistent. Either all static, an undefined codec (VLC said something like “cannot decode ipcm”) and just overall now completely unreliable. I know there are ways to deal with it, but I’d rather not have to have yet another step in my workflow. It looks like there are others dealing with audio issues. Seems odd to me (espeically since it’s still happening on a brand new machine with fresh installs of everything!)
I would recommend changing the export settings from “Copy” to “Convert” as this is a sign of a format issue between the video and audio files.
