.webm file extension for AV1

Is this something that would be possible, or is there some issues that stop this from being able to work? I was thinking about this when experimenting with the VP9 encoder, and I use the .webm to mark which encoders that I am experimenting with.

It should work.

If you wanted to use the webm extension for AV1 your audio must be either Vorbis or Opus, anything else will not work.
