Tonight I tried to work on a photo. Photo AI told me “We need to refresh your credentials. Your login has expired. Please login again.”
Attempts over the past 10 minutes to “Login” take me to a topazlabs.com size that is apparently down – after sitting there spinning for awhile, it comes back with part of some JSON or other website code script:
{"message": "Endpoint request timed out"}
This made me want to ask: If your server is down, or I have no internet at the moment, does it mean I cannot run this software at all?
Ran into a similar issue with Gigapixel as well as Video AI. This is an issue for those of us that work remotely. Did you ever hear back from Topaz Labs?
Both Gigapixel and Video AI came up with this today and required another me to “activate”. I often work remotely and this could be a pretty an issue. I had downloaded the models so there shouldn’t be any issue there.
Do these programs not work offline?
Or do they require periodic online checks?
How often are those checks?
Why wasn’t this noted during purchase?
Is there a way to allow activation once and not have to go through this again?
—SOLVED BY QUITTING THE APP AND RELAUNCHING. GOT LOGIN WINDOW—
I don’t use Gigapixel very often; haven’t updated after 8.2.2, but I wanted to use it today to resize a logo. I get the message: We need to refresh your credentials Your login has expired. Please login again by clicking ‘Activate’.
Pressing the Activate button does nothing. I am connected with the internet, and logged into my account without any issues. M1 iMac running Sequoia 15.5
Happened to me with Gigapixel AI today. Same message as LesC got, and if I click “Activate” it opens a web page, sits for a while even though I am already logged in here, and then goes to a JSON timeout page. Photo AI and the older apps are fine. Very annoying. I use Gigapixel AI rarely, but when I need it, I need it!
